VOX AC30CC2 GREENBACK VS WHARFEDALE SERIES
All Custom Series amps can use the VOX VFS2 footswitch, allowing you to turn the Reverb and Tremolo effects on and off as you continue to play. The AC30C2 and AC30C2X also include an additional tone control in the Reverb section. A warm Spring Reverb is also included on all Custom Series amps, adding spaciousness to the sound. Both the speed and the depth are adjustable, allowing you to generate just the sound you want. You can sweeten the sound of your Custom Series amplifier using the VOX Classic Tremolo effect. * AC30C2X: 30 Watts 2 x 12" Celestion Alnico Blue Speakers / Effects Loop. * AC30C2: 30 Watts 2 x 12" Celestion G12M Greenback Speakers / Effects Loop. *Specifications and features are subject to change without notice. * Outputs: External loudspeaker jack, Extension loudspeaker jack * Inputs: Normal input jack, Top Boost input jack, Footswitch jack * Speaker: 1 x 12" 16 ohm Celestion G12M Greenback * Output Power: 15 Watts RMS into 16 Ohms Additionally, a 2nd extension speaker jack allows you to run an extra 16 ohm cabinet along with the internal speakers for a fuller sound. By balancing the individual and Master volumes, the Custom Series can deliver everything from a clean VOX "chimey" sound to a powerful overdriven tone. The Master Volume control works in conjunction with the individual volumes of each channel to create just the right degree of gain-staging. The Tone Cut control operates in the power stage rather than the preamp stage, allowing an additional degree of tone-shaping. This powerful channel pairing provides an abundance of tone-crafting control, letting you dial in a classic sound that is all your own.īoth channels rely on the Tone Cut and Volume controls in the Master section. Each channel is equipped with its own Volume control, and the Top Boost channel offers highly interactive Treble and Bass tone controls. VOX Custom Series amps offer two channels: Normal and Top-Boost.

I will be gigging, but I figure they mic amps so often a 1x12 might be totally fine.Devant la rumeur persistante de fin de production des Vox Custom Classic, j'ai contacté Vox directement et je viens d'avoir un mail de réponse : Now my question is, if I got the head would it really be as simple as plugging it into a 1x12 cab? How many watts should just the one speaker be, as I understand the AC300CC2 is 2 15 watt speakers, right? Does anyone recommend a way to make this work? Or is getting a 2x12 the best way to go (cab or combo). I know it's two pieces of gear instead of one, but I think it'll be easier to transport. So, I was thinking maybe it'd be better to get the Vox AC30 head with a cab. I know about the Vox AC30CC1 with the 1x12 and that seems like the best in between option from the AC15 (which is a little quiet for me.too distorted also) & the AC30CC2, although I don't see them too often. I play jangly rock stuff like Tom Petty, the Byrds, the Church, etc. As most people say, the weight is a bummer. I've always loved Vox amps and I'm looking into buying an AC30.
